When going hiking, you want to make sure you have the essentials. Each adult and older scout should have the “10 Essentials” while Cub Scouts should carry their own “6 Essentials”. You want to make sure you have proper communication, adult supervision, a clear idea of your hiking terrain and obstacles, as well as emergency plans. Proper sun protection, water, and footwear is a MUST.
